Privacy policy

Data collected

Through the contact form we collect the information you send us voluntarily: name, company, email address, telephone, country, product type, estimated quantity and the content of your message.

Purpose of processing

• To answer your enquiries and get back to you about your project;
• To draw up a quotation or a proposal;
• To manage the ongoing business relationship.

Your data is used for those purposes only and is neither sold nor passed to third parties for commercial purposes.

Legal basis

Processing rests on your consent (the contact form) and on the legitimate interest of China Access in responding to your enquiries.

Retention period

Your data is kept for as long as it takes to handle your enquiry and follow up the exchanges arising from it, then deleted no later than three years after our last contact. Where a business relationship begins, the related documents are kept for as long as the applicable accounting obligations require.

Who receives your data

Your data is accessible only to those people at China Access handling your enquiry. Two technical providers are involved:

• Web3Forms, which routes contact form messages to our mailbox;
• Hostinger, which hosts the site and records server connection logs.

These providers act on our behalf and do not use your data for their own purposes. No data is sold or passed to third parties.

Your rights

As China Access is established in Hong Kong, the processing of your data falls under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Cap. 486. On that basis you have the right to access and correct your data, and the right to object to its use for direct marketing.

If you are resident in the European Union, the GDPR also applies to this processing: you additionally have the right to erasure, to restriction, to data portability and to object. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at contact@chainaccess.net.

Because your data may be processed from Hong Kong and mainland China, accessing it involves a transfer outside the European Union. That transfer is necessary to carry out the exchanges you enter into with us.

Complaints

If you consider that your data is not being processed lawfully, you may contact the competent authority: the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data in Hong Kong or, if you are resident in the European Union, the supervisory authority of your country — in France, the CNIL.

Connection data

As with any website, the host automatically records technical data when you visit: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and timestamps. These logs serve security and the proper running of the service only, and are not used to identify you.

Links and third-party services

The site offers a link to WhatsApp. If you use it, your exchange continues on that platform and is then governed by its publisher’s privacy policy, over which we have no control. The same applies to any other third-party site a link may lead to.

Cookies and audience measurement

This site sets no advertising cookies and no trackers capable of following you from one site to another.

Traffic may be measured using a privacy-respecting analytics tool that works without cookies and builds no individual profile. Only aggregate data is produced: number of visits, pages viewed, approximate origin. None of this information can identify you, which is why there is no consent banner.

Should a tool that sets cookies ever be installed, your consent would be obtained beforehand and this policy updated accordingly.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data against unauthorised access. No transmission over the internet can, however, be guaranteed as entirely secure.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the site or to regulation. The date it was last updated appears at the top of the page.
